The Weekend: Work or Take it Off

In today's dynamic work landscape, finding equilibrium between productivity and personal well-being is paramount. It hinges not only on your internal state but also on the structure of your schedule. If it means procrastinating, then you do not need to sacrifice on your goals. However, there are many situations when you feel overwhelmed and drained of the regular work week and you do need to take those hours off to regenerate and it means doing something that will help you recover your mind to start being in a long productive cycle.

The obvious activities you can dwell between and are good for your spirit are:

-Meeting friends,

-Getting restful sleep,

-Doing some self care,

-Going for a swim (hobbies) or

-Watching favourite movies and playing video games.

Tо avoid having a moments of burnout, it is essentials to have e good night sleep as often as possible and take those breaks during the day, also do not over do coffee cups and make sure you have as many personal contact moments as possible.

In todays remote work world, people underestimate the lack of social hours and networking. A virtual meeting can go from 30 min to 1 hour and it lacks th depth of live enrgy and genuine human connection. While platforms like social media offer connectivity, they can also create a false sense of closeness. Make sure you have circles outside of work and hobbies to dedicate enough time to. Just as I've found equilibrium in my dietary habits, I'm now committed to establishing a harmonious work-life balance. For many successful people this is hardly possible, but they have found what works for them to recharge and are actively freeing time for it.

On the contrary and thinking about balance, too long breaks or holidays can also make you shift from a normal life and you will feel different than most people which will make it more difficult for you once you are back at work. Instead strive to improve your productivity by staying away from social media while working to have more time off after work.

At the end it is not possible to have a perfect work-life ratio but the ability to discern between the two realms is a significant first step. In the cases where you love your job or what you are working on, then you are lucky to only have the drainage of long working hours but never the stress of being at the wrong environment or the anxiety to be doing something you do not want. My tip for us is, have a flexible approach, go with the flow while following structured, yet enjoyable schedule to completing projects. Seek what is possible true for you.

Important tip: whenever you feel overwhelmed, take it off and observe the situation from outside, this will improve your productivity and it will provide you a sense of what things to focus on when you are back.
